The team also needs help in the starting rotation and relief corps. Payton Tolle and Jake Bennett are throwing near career highs, so they need fresh arms to stay strong.
Over the Monster suggests the team should target big names like CJ Abrams or Hunter Goodman. These moves would cost top young pitchers or prospects, but they are necessary for a real run. Cheaper options like Zach Neto or Tyler Stephenson exist, but the ceiling remains low without a true upgrade.
Stop Playing Small Ball
I say the front office must stop making small tweaks and start making bold moves. Trading from their surplus in the outfield and pitching is the only way to get a real cornerstone. The team has spent two years searching for a franchise catcher and has not found one yet. Sticking with the status quo will keep their ceiling unimpressive.
